Zulfa Sakhiyya adalah dosen Jurusan Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Inggris sekaligus kepala Pusat Kajian Literasi di Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). Pada tahun 2018, Zulfa memperoleh gelar doktor dalam bidang Pendidikan dari School of Critical Studies in Education, the University of Auckland, New Zealand dengan beasiswa dari New Zealand ASEAN Scholars Award. Sebelumnya, Zulfa menyelesaikan studi Master of TESOL di La Trobe University, Melbourne dan juga aktif di Perhimpunan Pelajar Indonesia di Australia sebagai ketua departemen Pendidikan dan Budaya. Risetnya fokus pada analisis wacana, studi gender dan literasi atau pendidikan bahasa yang mengeksplorasi bagaimana ilmu pengetahuan diproduksi dan direpresentasi.
