Dr. Dicky merupakan seorang dosen, klinisi dan peneliti di Divisi Endokrinologi, Metabolisme dan Diabetes, Departemen Penyakit Dalam, RSUPN Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo, Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Indonesia. Dr. Dicky saat ini mengepalai Metabolic, Cardiovascular, and Aging Research Centre, Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI) yang penelitiannya fokus di bidang kardiometabolik, mulai dari penelitian dasar, klinik dan epidemiologi. Dr. Dicky memfokuskan penelitiannya pada pengaruh urbanisasi terhadap peningkatan kejadian obesitas, resistensi insulin dan diabetes mellitus. Saat ini Dr. Dicky sedang mengembangkan penelitian dan pelayanan terkait pengembangan teknologi dan personalised medicine pada diabetes melitus. Selain di bidang penyakit kardiometabolik, Dr Dicky juga memiliki minat di bidang kelainan kelenjar tiroid dan hipofisis.
Dr. Dicky telah menghasilkan berbagai publikasi internasional serta diundang untuk menjadi pembicara pada berbagai konferensi internasional seperti Asia Oceania Congress of Endocrinology 2018, World Congress of Internal Medicine 2018, European Association for Southern Asian Studies Meeting 2019, 7th Annual Congress of the European Society for Translational Medicine 2020, International Congress of Obesity 2022, Korean Society for The Study of Obesity Meeting 2023.
