Andrian Liem mendapatkan gelar S3 dari The University of Queensland dan saat ini bekerja di Fakultas Psikologi, Universitas Sebelas Maret. Dia memiliki capaian ilmiah yang signifikan dalam rumpun Ilmu Sosial bidang psikologi klinis dan kesehatan melalui publikasi di jurnal nasional dan internasional bereputasi. Dia juga telah menulis buku/bab buku, termasuk tentang pengobatan alternatif dalam psikologi klinis hasil penelitian doktoralnya dan tentang aplikasi teknologi dalam kesehatan mental hasil
pengalaman pascadoktoralnya di The University of Macau. Dia melakukan research fellowship tentang pekerja migran Indonesia dan kesehatan mental lansia di Monash
University Malaysia. Prestasi ilmiahnya diakui secara internasional dengan terpilih dalam daftar 2% ilmuwan teratas dunia versi Stanford University - Elsevier pada tahun 2022. Dia menjabat sebagai Associate Editor jurnal Applied Psychology: Health and Well-Being sejak 2022. Dia juga berkontribusi sebagai konsultan untuk Indonesian Diaspora Network Global - Indonesian Migrant Workers Task Force serta narasumber di berbagai diskusi publik tentang kesehatan mental pekerja migran Indonesia. Selain itu, dia aktif menulis artikel populer di media massa seperti The Conversation dan Magdalene.
