Ni Kadek Dita Cahyani, Ph.D. merupakan tenaga pengajar di Departemen Biologi, Fakultas Sains dan Matematika, Universitas Diponegoro sejak 2022. Penulis menamatkan Pendidikan S1 di Fakultas Biologi, UGM, Yogyakarta pada tahun 2003 dan melajutkan Pendidikan S2 di Program Magister Ilmu Lingkungan, Universitas Udayana, Bali pada tahun 2017. Tahun 2021, penulis lulus dari Department of Ecology and Evolutonary Biology, University of California, Los Angeles melalui beasiswa Fulbright. Dr. Cahyani memiliki ketertarikan dengan pendataan biodiversitas secara umum dengan menggunakan pendekatan molekuler. Beberapa riset yang dilakukan, diantaranya adalah identifikasi spesies ikan karang menggunakan pendekatan DNA Barcoding dan pohon filogenetik. Saat ini Dr. Cahyani banyak melakukan penelitian tentang ekologi molekuler dengan fokus riset mengenai Environmental DNA (eDNA) dengan pendekatan DNA Metabarcoding, pendataan keanekaragaman biodiversitas laut menggunakan Autonomous Reef Monitoring Structure (ARMS), dan Bioinformatika.
