Birgitta Narindri Rara Winayu (Indri) memiliki fokus penelitian pada area mikrobiologi terapan terutama bioteknologi lingkungan dan teknologi pengendalian polusi udara. Gelar Ph.D. diraih dari Department of Environmental Engineering, National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) dengan topik penelitian berkaitan dengan Pemanfaatan Thermosynechococcus sp. dalam pengolahan limbah cair untuk fiksasi CO2 dan akumulasi produk samping.Pada tahun 2021-2024 Indri juga menjadi peneliti post-doktoral di National Cheng Kung University dan berpartisipasi dalam berbagai proyek pendanaan oleh National Science and Technology Council dan Ministry of Environment Taiwan dan Taiwan Ministry of Environment dengan topik terkait reduksi CO2, katalisis, fotokatalisis, kultivasi Cyanobacteria, dan pemanfaatan limbah. Saat ini, Indri menjabat sebagai dosen di Fakultas Biosains, Teknologi, dan Inovasi, Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya.
